Discover the lake of Esparron located at 20 minutes from Gréoux
The lake of Esparron with its turquoise water is an essential step of your stay in Gréoux Les Bains. Located at 20 minutes by car, you will have several choices to discover it. On foot, by electric boat or canoe or even pedal boat. Personally, I made this visit on the water at least 10 times and I must say that I can’t get enough of it. We particularly recommend the visit of the lake and the Basses Gorges with an electric boat. It takes half a day to enjoy the place and explore the lower Gorges. So if your spa treatment takes place in the morning, you can spend the afternoon in one of the most beautiful places of the Gorges du Verdon.
See the movie Verdon Secret in 3D and on a giant screen
Another must-do activity during your spa treatment is to go to the cinema in Gréoux les Bains. This art house cinema with an eclectic program is located in the village, 10 minutes walk from the spa. All year long, it shows the movie Verdon Secret on a giant screen. Discover in 50 minutes the most fantastic images of The Grand Canyon and especially the more remote and inaccessible places through the adventure of the first explorers of the Gorges. Breathtaking images; hold on to the armrests of your cinema chair!

The Gorges du Verdon and The Grand Canyon
The weekend will give you the chance to discover The Grand Canyon of the Verdon for one day. Direction Moustiers Sainte-Marie to visit this beautiful village. The tourist office of Moustiers organizes guided tours. After the visit of Moustiers, the lake of Sainte-Croix is worth a visit. Why not extend your visit by the route des crêtes with its 16 lookouts. A stop at the Chalet de la Maline, a French Alpine Club chalet, is a must for a drink or lunch on its magnificent panoramic terrace.
Direction Manosque, the visit of Forcalquier and the Luberon is worth the detour.
Did you know that the Luberon is the site of the largest French bookstore? You can find it in the small village of Banon. One and a half hour drive away, the authentic villages of the Luberon are waiting for you. Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste form the golden triangle. Finally the visit of the Colorado Provençal of Rustrel will delight you if you like colorful landscapes.

Astronomical evening of discovery of the stars in Bauduen
In another register, the astronomical evening of discovery of the stars is also a must. Indeed, the Alps of Haute-Provence have some of the most starry skies of the world. Drinking on the terrace of La Maline’s chalet overlooking the Grand Canyon
One of my favorite places: the terrace of the chalet of La Maline along the route des crêtes. It’s also the start of the mythical Martel Trail, which allows you to explore The Grand Canyon through a 6 hour hike. For those who don’t have the courage to hike the trail, the movie Verdon Secret will take you there without leaving the comfort of your cinema chair.
